So its been around for a while then.

Here are a couple of things you can try.

  • If there is another PC or laptop in your reach, hook the monitor in question up to that to it and see if you still have the problem.
  • Reboot the PC and Press or tap F8 as soon as the PC reboots until you see a black screen with white writing presenting you with boot options.
Select "Safe mode with Networking" and the PC will load Windows with a reduced number the drivers and services. If Windows boots to the desktop in "Safe mode" with out the issue you described, then your driver may be outdated or incorrect.
  • In this case proceed to update the Video driver.

The monitor on my computer screen is fuzzy and shaking. After turning the computer on and off a few times, I get a clear picture. What's causing this?

With out seeing the screen and the connections to the video card I can assume that
it is the cable that is loose but it may also be the video card itself and or the LCD
monitor.
1. check the video cable from the monitor to the video card port
2. check the cabinet (PC) for accumulated dust around the mother board or the video
card and the CPU ( central processing unit). Dust is a heat collector and may render the
mother board and component to act erratic or fail all together. check all connectors
I hope this helps. Have a great day!

I cannot install ethernet driver of hp compaq d530. Where can i find it?

Hello: I hope the following information is helpful.
If you are trying to install the driver for the Broadcom ethernet NIC that was pre-installed (NOT an ethernet card that you purchased and installed yourself), there is a softpack (updated driver installation) download available from HP/Compaq. It will install the driver automatically for you, just download it from the link below and run the ".exe" file.
IMPORTANT: Check to be sure that your current Operating System, and model of the network device you are trying to install, are BOTH listed below BEFORE you download!
This is a software / driver update for the HP Compaq d530 ultra-slim desktop: All Models

Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.LINK where file can be downloaded:HP/Compaq Support-Broadcom Driver download
Again, I hope this information is what you neededto install your network device. Should this not answer your question, please come back, provide more details of your problem, and we will be happy to help!Best of luck to you!

Widescreen 22" monitor won't stretch to fit screen

Without more details, it is really hard to provide assistance but here are some general items without knowing the model Monitor, the video card or the operating system you are using.

Generally (I can't know for sure without the LCD model) 22 inch LCDs have an optimal resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels.

So the first thing you need to do is ensure that the video card display resolution is set to 1680 by 1050. If 1680 by 1050 is not an option in your display properties (In windows XP, right click the background, click properties, click settings tab, then slide the resolution bar to 1680 by 1050. Click OK) then try upgrading your video driver.

If that doesn't give you the 1680 by 1050 option, then your video card may need replacement with a better card.

IBM Flat Panel Monitor problem - light colored shifting lines (like Bar Codes)

It sounds like it's a problem with the video card, as opposed to a problem with the monitor. If you have another machine, or a laptop, or a friend with a laptop you can find out - just plug it into the other machine, and if the problem goes away, it's the video card. If not, it's the monitor.

While the card may be bad (if it has a dead fan, and has overheated) you will probably need to replace it. But if may just be loose, assuming it is a and on video card and not an onboard one. If it is an onboard video, you can usually disable it and put in an add on video card, which would resolve the issue as well.

Default monitor

Hi, if someone has upgraded your version of windows the only way to go back to a older version is installing your windows xp home edition cd, only problem with that is when you downgrade you lose everything, so you will have to make sure its all backed up. in regards to the monitor, different monitors can support different resolutions, if you cant change it up any its quite possible you got a more basic one, All the best John
