I have a MaxData M-book 1000T for which I had to re-format the hard drive due to a nasty worm. It all works fine now but the Device Manager says I need a Video Controller (VGA Compatible). Apparently, the device drivers are not installed. Do you know where I can get the device drivers - I do not have the driver disk? Thanks.

take battery out of bottom there should be screws that hold keyboard in at the top there should be a panel along the font next too the screen that should lift up there, normally screwed in or cliped lift up gently too get to the top of the keyboard it should slide out when the screws from undernieth are removed..

Remove battery and unplug power source. Push and hold power button for 30 seconds while power is detached. Replace battery and plug in power supply. Tap power one time to turn on.

Try using the F11 which is the command for the recovery partition usually. But if that fails . Try the esc button. Both the buttons should be tapped continuously as soon as you push the power button . If all fails please use the recovery cds.

Add RAM memory

I don't have the manual, but a post here seems to indicate how to lift the keyboard to where you can change RAM.

There should be settings in your bios that change how your cpu throttles speed. In Windows you can download 3rd party applications to control the speed of your cpu.

MAXDATA Laptop Model Number L55110 reset factory settings

Reset the cmos (bios) by taking out the lithium battery (obviously disconnect from power first) and leave it for 10 minuets. You will need to reconfigure the settings in your bios afterward. If you still have the problem you will have to look to hardware problems, which could be various ones.
