This is a common problem on that model, you have a bad blue tube, it is shorting out and the tv is shutting off to protect from furthur damage. Sony had a major problem with this it is not uncommon to have more than one tube bad. To have one tube replaced by a repairman will run you $500-$700 let me know if I can be more help?

Well you might be able to I would need the model number and the serial number to get you a part number. sometimes the tubes are no longer available and in this case they have to be sent off for rebuild. If you are considering going forward with this I would like to talk to you in much more detail because its not a simple job, there is alot involved. It is something that i have seen people do before but usually with a great deal of difficulty.

I CONNECTED MY CAMERA TO MY TV TO WATCH A SLIDE SHOW LAST NIGHT. THIS MORNING ALL I GET IS A BLE SCREEN. HOW DO I GET BACK TO TV?

Probably have the wrong "Source" selected... it's most likely still looking for the input from the camera which I assume you are no longer looking at. Blue screen is the "screen saver" mode when there is no signal.

it sounds like the blue crt is failing Pull the front off and turn the tv on
When it still has a good picture tap the blue crt
if it flashes blue with lines across the screen then you know it is a bad crt

Flashes blue and then the tv shuts down

The tech is correct about the internal short inside the blue CRT. There is a way to remove that short by applying a small amount of current to burn the short but that might damage the CRT even more. At this point the CRT needs to be replace.
I will post the instructions on how to remove that short but you will need to have a good regulated power supply and limit the amount of current to 1 to 2 amps.
