Question about Brother MFC-5440CN All-In-One InkJet Printer
Try cleaning the heads at least 5 times; print a test sheet and see how it looks. (this is done on the printing buttons on the left hand side of the machine, on top) It may take a bit. If you are still missing the other colors after this, your heads are clogged. This may be unconvential and I doubt Brother would recommend this, but I had the same problem and it worked.
I removed the ink cartridges not showing ink- and took a can of "Dust Remover" (or any can of high pressure air) and put the long red exteneder on it- and placed the end over the ink entry hole and blew high pressure air through it; you have to get the tube on top of it and press, causing the air to blow through it; I replaced the ink cartridges, did 2 cleanings, the test page is now perfect.
