XP home edition refers to the windows version on your computer. You need a copy of Microsoft Office to create and edit word and excel documents. Do you have a MS Office disk?

Move your essential files into the other system, check them on that system, look if it will open or no?  it's better to install a .NET framework program before installing the office program, reboot your system, then install ofice again, and check it

I would uninstall it and reinstall again. If that doesn't fix it, uninstall it and use Open Office instead. Far better, free open access and easier to use plus fully compatible with any microsoft stuff.

It says Not enogh disk space whenever I open MS word, powerpoint-

Is that 25.6 MB on C: or GB? If it's MB, you need to clean up your disk and trash unused files to make more disk space.

The amount you have available on D: won't matter for launching the software. It's looking at how much room there is on C:

You can solve the problems by uninstalling the Microsoft Ofiice 2007. Then, make sure that you uninstall other Office products too. Go to C: Drive, locate and delete also the Microsoft Office folder found in the Program files folder. Now install the Microsoft Office. Your problems will be solved. SOOO SLOOOWW!!! Excel 2007

Are you trying to open a .xls file instead of an .xlsx file? Xlsx is the excel 2007 file format. Another cause could be a lack of free space on your hard drive. Uninstalling the 2003 version or defragging could do it. One last question: XP or Vista? I find Office 2007 works better with Vista. Good Luck! ---- JG
