My phone dosent turn on or nothinq

When the battery is totally depleted, you will need to use a charger that came with the phone. Sometimes it will take a few mintues (give it 10) for the battery/charging circuit to come on.

Sometimes you can charge from other sources than the charger that came with the phone. You generally will need enough charge on the battery to start the phone.

Example: If I have enough battery to where the boots and turns off, I can generally get it to charge from USB or my car adapter. You will need to get the phone to turn on and boot most of the way up before it will take a low current charge. If my phone is so dead it will not even turn on, I must plug it into the AC adapter. Sometimes even then the light does not turn on right away.

The problem is probably due to the number of amps provided by the charger. When the battery is totally dead, the charging circuit is drawing so many amps that it will prevent low amp chargers from being able to do the job. That's why these phones have such heavy duty AC adapters.

i got my sidekick two a week ago the phone shut off wednesday of this week but the phone dont turn on and when i plug it out and plug it in back the phone says its still dead so i am wondering how long does a very dead barttery be fully charged that i can turn it on .

my phone had the same problem. Tried another bat,did not work. tried my bat in another phone and it worked. so from that i deduce that it is not the bat. What else can it be?

When the battery is 100% drained , there is no way it can be charged again from AC/DC Adaptor or USB Cable .. it needs to get charged at least 30% from some phone repair shop so it will work .. i had the same problem .. So dont get it to Drain 100% ever ..

One more thing. There was a possible solution on a website I came across, but I dont' remember which one. Sorry.
The restart feature described how each of the pins of the USB connection needed a specific range of voltages to properly power the phone. However, ONE of the pins (I dont remember which) will restart the phone if the voltage applied is out of the required range! I wish I could find this site and run a test case on my phone. If it works I'll be sure to tell everyone. If you know the site, please let me know! Thanks!!

Unfortunately, it is not always the battery. My phone's battery died and the phone is now dead, permanently. The AC adapter doesn't charge the phone or allow it to power on. Something in the phone is "stuck". The phone will boot into the bootloader, but that's it. We cannot flash the phone at all. Sorry, but there doesn't appear to be a fix for this problem and Motorola isn't interested in helping. Good luck!!

well, way dont you listen to all those how told you on the battery?
from your description it seems to be the battery - its dead
it cant charge and there for the phone wont turn on
if you take out the battry then the phone wont have even a hope to light up - wont it?
does it work well when you plug it with the AC adapter?
if soo then its most certainly the battery!
buy a new 1

I had this problem too,

i found that actually what it is, is that the battery has NO charge so it can't take a charge.( it need some energy to power up its charging circuit)

To fix this you can either:

• Buy a new battery, this costs though, and you will have to wait a couple of days minimum for your phone to be working again.
  

OR

• You can charge it up enough just to get the Charging Circuits up and running. If you have an aproximately 3.7 volt and about 1050mAh AC adaptor spare then you locate the positive and negative wires running from it and clip them and strip them so you have two wires coming from the adaptor, one positive, one negative, each with about 1cm naked wire at the end.

• You can connect it up to the battery by touching the negative wire to the negative terminal and postiove wire to the positive terminal.

• You must keep them connected for at least 15 minutes, by then, the battery should have enough power to start the charging process.

Please Note: I bear no responsibilty if this method damages anything (it didn't for me) or if anybody manages to electrify themselves, or for that matter, if you get hurt or damage anything while attempting this.

my sidekick slide is not turning on even if its on the charger i dont know whats the problem

Not to nitpick on an unrelated thing, but how did you manage to even spell "phone" much less purchase one? Unless English is your second language, you need to go back to school and learn to spell...just a suggestion.

On the HW6500 series there are two small pips on the inside of the rear cover. One of them operates a tiny switch which is supposed to switch off the battery if you take the cover off with the power on. BUT if the plastic rear cover gets warm as it often does in your pocket then the case will move a fraction and poof your ipaq goes off or resets. Be very careful when you put the rear case on - push the pips into the holes and squeese hard as you slide the cover up. Plug into charge for a few minutes and the red light should change to orange. Leave it charging over night and all should be well again. It is a bad design fault - in extreme cases you may have to get a replacement rear cover - quite expensive. can any one tell me if you can short this switch out somehow?

if this is from battery whay in first use and first day? motorola company place a dead battry in package ?

People, please listen. I had the same issue with the sidekick 3. It stopped charging. I bought a new battery and a new charger and guess what? It still didn't charge. Save money on all of those items and just get a battery charger. It will save you money, aggravation and your precious time. Get it on ebay...Mac

I had the same exact problem with mine. I had to buy a new battery and a desktop charger from ebay. It seems that the battery goes so far dead that it won't even allow you to charge it using the phone. So you have take it out of the phone and put it into a separate charger give it a little time and it will come back to life.

The USB trick worked...I just did this for my phone

Have the battery rear cover switch checked if you have already conirmed that the battery is faulty!!!
