The camera is set on Auto. The pictures are a blur, not in focus. Is there a way to set up good focus?

Revie manual here:

This your camera:
Nikon Coolpix 775

1.check your lens camera is clean and clear.

You have to choices, auto and scene.
What happen when you choose scene mode?
2. test change your image quality to normal. you can go to menu even in shooting mode.
3.change image to normal and back to shooting mode and try again

It is same ?blur?

4.if still blur, try go to menu mode again, at left side you can find BSS.
5 IF BSS is off.. change it on. if it is on, change it off.
6.go to shooting mode again.

that all. good luck and rate me..tq

I have a brand new nikon coolpix s3000. it's on full-time auto focus. Any ideas?

You can change this in the menu while in shooting mode. This is from page 48 of the manual:

Choose how the camera focuses.

A (auto) M d (Shooting menu) M I Autofocus mode

A Single AF (default setting)

The camera focuses when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway.

B Full-time AF

The camera focuses continuously until the shutter-release button is pressed down

halfway. Use with moving subjects. The sound of lens drive movement will be heard

while the camera focuses.

Camera won't take a picture when autofocus is on

It sounds like you have a problem with the auto focus on the lens. The 18-135 has a focusing motor inside the lens itself. If this motor is not working, then it won't focus. It could also be the contacts (small and silver on the lens look like ball bearings buried halfway into the top part of the lens where it connects inside the camera body) or the contacts inside the camera body. These can be CAREFULLY cleaned with alcohol and a QTip or a clean pencil eraser. Just make sure you don't get anything into the lens or camera.

If the camera is over a year old, it may just be time to take it to the camera shop for a cleaning.

Have a canon digital elph sd750. Pictures are now blurry.

You could have cracked the lens, damage the focus or a number of other things but the lens and focus are most likely. check your lens for scratches if there is none and no cracks take it to your nearest camera store or buy new good luck!

Hi there i have a auto focus problem. i used mt 50D for the first time on saturday, after about 100 shots Err99 appeared, i turned the camera off and took the battery out an the error message never occured...

The camera is having problems with your lens and this is why it goues into the error mode. Try first cleaning the interface contacts on the lens ( see enclosed pic ) . If this does not sort the problem out then the auto focus motor ( or related hardware ) inside the lens will need attention. Also try other lenses to see whether it is only the lens ( I very seldom see this sort of problem cause by the body ; it is always the lens that gives this sort of trouble )db49ae2.jpg

Problems taking pictures

Typically when that happens your auto focus sensor has become dirty and it takes longer to focus on your subjects. Make sure both your lens and AF sensor are completely clean. Use a soft high thread count cotton cloth to wipe them clean.
