Brilliant, I opened up the hard ware box (e box)tentivelly cleaned the thing which was amass with dust. The fans for system cooling were dirty and full of dust which my wife and me cleaned using a hoover and wet wipes!! Guess what?? The o s is now back to normal and cooking with gas....Many thanks To Ekse who is the only person I have spoke to (outside this forum) who agreed with my idea that it was a hardware problem! Give Ekse 11 out of 10 for giving me the courage to down tools and openup the wasps nest and clean it! Different class....Cheers Brian.

Try removing the stock cooler, cleaning it, removing the thermal paste, try Artic Cleaner. I would get a fan with higher CFM.
:) Good luck!

Hi there I think what may be the problem is the media that you are using (DVD +r) or(DVD-R)
That system is using the Windows Media center.Matsushita UJ-825S DVD-RAM drive Are you converting files from the system or from another PC to the the dvd back to this machine

I think you may did not check your (media dvd disc format)
And also down load the support drviers
I can supply you with those as well

I would run your windows task magager and see what aplication are using the most CPU
and shut them down when you are not using them That pc as 2 tv tuners in it and it is
has several cooling fans But that pc is problematic for running so hot... If you only need to burn the DVD then shut down the TV tuners or ONE of them

    Thank You
    Jaysom

How to Burn MP4 to DVD?

It is not difficult actually.
If you're a Windows user, Windows Media Player will not be a stranger to you. It's the Window's defaulted media player which also provides the facility to burn CDs and data DVDs with your DVD burner drive. You can use Windows Media Player to copy music, pictures, and videos on your computer to a blank CD or DVD.

Apple actually offers several apps for its users to edit videos and burn videos to DVD on Mac, like iMovie, iDVD, Final Cut series, etc. iMovie and Final Cut series are used for video editing, while iDVD is a specialized video to DVD bunring program for all Mac computers.

While Windows Media Player only creates data DVD disc from MP4 files and iDVD may fail to recognize your MP4 video source, Leawo DVD Creator successfully avoids these shortcomings and becomes the best choice for you to burn MP4 to DVD on Mac and PC. officially known as Leawo Blu-ray Creator, you can easily convert and burn AVCHD to playable DVD disc for playback on your home Blu-ray Disc Player or PS3.
Here is the detailed tutorial on how to burn MP4 to DVD on Mac and PC with Leawo DVD Creator.

There are many things that might cause your PC to run slowly or restart at time and then. It could be a fragmented disk; fragmented registry; a virus, Trojan, or spy ware; high CPU and/or utilization due to too many programs running; high disk I/O; or something else.

To check your CPU and memory utilization, run Task Manager. You can start Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and then clicking on the Task Manager Button. In Task manager, click on the Performance tab and check CPU Usage and PF Usage. PF Usage is an indicator of memory usage. If one or both of these is high, click on the Processes tab, and sort the columns by CPU or Memory to see what processes are consuming the resource. If you are not sure what the process "Image name" is for, Google the name and you should find what the process is for.

If your CPU and memory usage are reasonable, then you may have a different issue. Even if you running anti-virus software, it may be beneficial to scan your PC with another scanner to check for viruses. No anti-virus software is 100% perfect at catching everything. Here are a few good free online virus scanners that you can run to check your PC:

An excellent free utility for overall system maintenance is Advanced System Care Free ( http://download.cnet.com/advanced-systemcare-free/3000-2086_4-10407614 .html ). I use this utility on a regular basis.

Boot your PC into "Safe Mode" (tapping the F8 key on boot to get to the option) and run a full/complete Virus scan with Anti Virus with up to date virus definitions and see what that yields.

Dell Dimension 8250 PC running Windows XP SP2 has CPU always at 100%

I guess it could be a virus, avast is not the best antivirus in my opinion, try to get a norton antivirus or NOD32 update it and run the scan, it ocuurs when a replicating virus copies files to all your HDD and is always busy...making system busy...and one more thing there could easily be a copy of the virus in your pen drive as well...

Dont know much bout comps but i carn burn music from here but not dvds why?

Hi tanya - what are you trying to burn onto the DVDs? It all depends on what you're trying to burn and what software you're trying to burn with. It can also depend on the type of blank DVD you're using and what formats the files are in. Why don't you tell me what you're trying to put on the DVDs, what format the files are in, the software you're using and the type of blank DVD you're using, i.e. DVD-R,DVD-RW,etc. Also please tell me the make and model# of your pc. Seems like alot of info but it's not that bad. Don't forget anything and I'll get you going in no time. Thanks.
