Okay if I don't know exactly what your situation is but it sounds as if your TV is not cable ready but instead has terminal screws for spade connectors to connect an Over The Air antenna. If this is the case thay mak a transformer that converts the signal from the coax attached at one end to that of spade connectors at the opposite end. If you do not have this set up but yellow/ white or red/yellow/ white inputs you could purchase an RF modulator and a set of composite cables to accomplish the same goal.
Hope this helps you and if you would please provide me with feedback on my solution by ranking it please. Thank you and if you need further assistance please post a comment to this solution.

I havce installed the digital converter box and everything seems to be okey. I get the menu page, and do a channel scan, which brings up no channels. With the converter turned off, I get a cable signal...

Hello,

1. If you are using the composite video output, double check that your antenna is connected to the converter's antenna input and not the output.

2. If you are in a remote area that gets signals through translators, there might not be any digital signals to receive.

Is the antenna connected to the input of the converter box? There should be a screw on connector on the back, the antenna connects there.

If you have the antenna connected properly, have set the conveter to scan for channels, and you were able to watch TV with the rabbit ears before you got the box, the box may be defective....!!

Thank you!!!

PLease post back for further assistance..

Regards!!...

Im not getting any signal weak or strong! What am I doing wrong?

What's your source for signal? You need an antenna to be the capture source for your signal that has a wire going from the antenna to the INPUT of the box. That's usually coaxial input. The box is the middle component between your TV and antenna.

Mitsubishi vs-50603 does'nt get regular antenna chanels.

Indoor antennas have very limited capabilities especially in areas with elevation changes and heavy tree cover. Ideally, you should put an outdoor antenna on your roof or the highest elevation you can find with a relatively short distance to the TV. Make sure it has a good UHF section as this is where all digital broadcasts will be sent by the broadcasters as the digital transition occurs. You might try an amplified indoor antenna for better results than what you have now, but its no substitute for an outdoor antenna.

Converter Box?

Only if your using rabbit ears or have a outside antenna, if you are on cable your ok. If you do have cable or sattelite you just need to run a new connection to it.

Tv

The changeover only effects those that use either rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna. It sounds like you have cable TV which will not change. No converter box should be needed if you have cable or satelite.

Analog signals have nothing to do with your problem. Make sure that the TV is set channel is set to 3 or 4 (cf read of Converter box for channel switch). The TV received signal from Converter box on Channel 3 (or AV Cables if you have them)
