My nokia 6310i keeps losing signal after a few mintues then come back waht wrong with my phone

You should contact your provider.
There are 3 options:
1. something wrong with the phone
2. something wrong with the provider setting
3. you are in a bad reception area

The provider is the only one that can answer you on those issue.

You mean your phone have a weak signal? There are many factors affecting the signal of your phone. It might be the phone service provider whose encountering a technical difficult on there system, there is something blocking your phone to receive strong signal like the trees,large building or maybe you are in a remote area where signal are difficult to reach.
But if you mean your phone is completely cannot receive any signal then it must be its hardware antenna inside that needs to be check or replace. You need some tools to do the repair like a soldering gun,screw driver and tester to do the diagnostics. If your unsure on how to do this then you need to visit Nokia Care Center about this.

TRY REPLACING A NEW BATTERY .IF U FEEL THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH AN EXISTING BATTERY. ELSE GET THE FIRMWARE REINSTALLED USING NOKIA PC SUITE DATA CABLE AND MUST HAVE A HIGH SPEED INTERNET.

My husband had two 6310i hand sets and neither of them are receiving a signal. He uses one regularly and it was working this morning, but now it won't receive a signal? We have another handset - different...


Check with your carrier to make sure that your 6310 is still a frequency that they carry on their towers. I believe that they are being phased out to free up bandwidth.

It's possible that you could fix it, but not entirely likely. It depends on whether it's just a bent antenna connector or if a circuit board is broken.

Some phones have a small spring-type piece that makes contact with the antenna. If this is merely bent, and not making a great connection, you might be able to coax it back into shape and that might fix your phone. Otherwise, it's probably beyond the ability of an amateur to repair.

Brother, it seems it's generic network failure problem. Such problems are due to it's defective antina switcher, PA or any other part of network section. Which part is responsible that can be decide only by phisical examination. Any skilled technician can do it for you. He can set it right. Ask fixya for nearby skilled technician. Have you tried bringing it to a technician to have it checked? It would be easier to have a professional replace the antenna rather than having to do it yourself... Good luck with your phone repair...

check the top left corner of the screen, is there a "2" there. If so you are set to use line 2. You need to change it back to line 1. select menu-settings-call settings-line for out going calls-select. Choose line 1.
