I seem to have downloaded music on my computer but can't seem to make it show up on my ipod playlist

Create your playlist with winamp and then copy it over with the songs listed in the playlist. You can make as many playlists as you like and they will show up under "playlist" on the screen

It seems your ipod can't read the music your input, first, try to convert the music with audio ripper, don't forget to convert it to ipod format and drag to ipod throught itunes; after convert, if your ipod still can't read the songs, you can reinstall the itunes software.
