Question about Acer AL1715 (Black, Silver) 17" LCD Monitor
No green light or any responce from screen. I have exchanged computer and screen power cables. How do I open this box of tricks ?? A hole in the back has a padlock symbol over it. Do I need a special tool ?

There're 2 ways to opened it. From the back cover, take out the 4 screws. Then get a good grip with both hands on bottom R/H side of the open edges and pulled as hard as you can... The other way...it's from the front bezel. Next placed a piece of cloth or paper towel on top the screen to protect from smudged... Then used both hands grip on the edges of the bezel and pulled up...do the same on the other sides.. The rest you know what to do... Have fun!
