I have HP Pavilion laptop and trying to install Lexmark x73. I cant get it to work. Is it possible to install.

if it is drivers you need for windows 7
Lexmark does not have Windows 7 drivers for the X73, the newest ones are for XP:

If the manufacturers website does not have Windows 7 drivers, try using Windows Update to install printer drivers:

Try the Printer Troubleshooter
1. Click the Start button, then click Control Panel
2. In the search box, type troubleshooter
3. Then click Troubleshooting
4. Under Hardware and Sound, click "Use a printer"

Not finding a Vista driver to be available from Lexmark x73. They only show the XP driver. You can get this driver free here: http://download.cnet.com/Lexmark-X73/3000-2116_4-22576.html?tag=mncol

One, try installing printer without the XP driver. Lexmark may have provided a quailifying driver with Vista hardware setup wizard. If it does not work or wizard cannot locate a driver, try the XP driver.

Beyond this, you may have to talk to tech support at Lexmark or repost here for another expert.

Install the driver/s from this link/site and then install your Lexmark X73. This is for windows/HP/Lexmark....I do believe it will be compatible.

I'm sorry to tell you that the X73 does not support Vista just XP and Win 2000.

You can get that info by going to Google and enter lexmark x73 installation.

Just go to the Lexmark homepage and download the driver for it.

Sorry the hardware of the printer is not compact able with vista ,it wont work,as there no driver for vista by lexmark ...

ok..go here for some new drivers..find the lexmark icon, enter your model number and then operating system..and you might be good to go.

remove the existing printer from control panel before installing new drivers.

Set this options un der Control panel Scanner and camera. If fails try this, Uninstall everything HP Installed. Unplug the scanner. Then reboot. THen install the drivers and applications. Then reboot. then insert the HP scanner into the USB.
