Close the DS,
turn the volume all the way down and then press a few more times,
reopen, hold down power switch. It should turn off.
If it still doesn't work then it look like it was trying to do an update and was shut off while updating.
For a Guarantee fix you must change your DSi motherboard, they cost around $40 on ebay.
