Question about RCA RP5440 Clock Radio
I HAVE A RCA LCD CLOCK RADIO MODEL RP5412A 120V/60HZ. I WANT IT TO WORK IN JAMAICA WHICH IS 110/50HZ. HOW DO I GET IT TO WORK. I CANNOT GET THE RIGHT MODEL IN YOUR PRODUCT AREA. THE RIGHT PRODUCT MODEL IS ( RP5412)
The instruction manual will not help you, because it doesn't address this problem head on. You're having this problem because the time changed, and the clock has an automatic setting. As long as the batteries are in the clock and it's plugged up, it automatically computes the time. I just discovered the solution. Unplug the clock, take out the batteries and WAIT about an hour. Plug it back up, and the time will flash, allowing you to change the time. You do this with the button on the top back which says wake up 1 and wake up 2. Push that button all the way to the right to the setting that looks like a little clock, then press the forward button on the top of the clock to set the correct time. Then put your batteries in and you're good to go! (til the time changes again:) Good luck!
