Printer Assitant Is there a download for just the printer assitant on the hp 5550? I am running windows XP MCE.

You may want to reinstall the printer software to correct this.
The drivers will be different and the software may not run the same due to Vista update.

did you put on the wifi swatch ? if you did, but still not working, try to reinstall the wirless assitant..............

in face, if you have your wifi, and bluetooth......... you don't very need the wirless assitant.......... if you are able to get online

I called Hewlett Packard and a technician worked very patiently with me to resolve the problem. I needed to download and install new drivers as the drivers on my installation CD had an error on them.

256mb?? You need minimum another 256MB of memories.
HP deskjet requred 64MB. for the driver
Windows XP PS3 requires 200MB to run.

Please tell me if you are referring to the software that came with your printer to edit photos, etc. or the software to run the printer?

Also, tell me what version of Windows you are using, press Windows Logo+E, drop the help menu down and select About. This subsequent page will tell you what you have and most importantly the Version of Windows you have, i.e., Windows XP SP3.

Now, let me know what type of cable you use to connect the printer to the PC. Is it thin or fat?

Once I know, I'll send you instructions and links to download the software you need. Without this information there is nothing any of us can do for you.
