Question about Yahoo YDP305 DVD Player
I tried to play DIVX movies from my flash drive with my DVD player/recorder and it shows the DIVX files with no play option. How can I play it.
I watch movies on my USB port right from the thumb drive all the time. Some model LG players and recorders do not support the DiVX Codec. My new one does not. You need to convert the file to XViD with a prgram called Magic Video Converter. It only takes 15 minutes on a fast PC. Hope this helps you. I never even heard of a DVD Player or recorder with a 1.1 USB Port and even if it was it would be able to stream a 700mb file over an hour and a half! I'm back, I just tested it and even on a 6 year old desktop with a 1.1 port the movie played fine! If you need more help feel free to contact me geokohler at gmail. I have a deans list BS in Computer Science.

You can not view from the USB, since the USB port on the DVD player is ver 1.1. The transfer speed is to slow to watch a movie. Alternatively you can copy your movie from your flashdrive to the harddrive and watch from there. You will see what I mean with slow speed when you copy the movie. It takes ages.
