Paper jam near fuser - OKI C5100n

My Oki C5100n jams when the paper touch the fuser roller. It started doing this one day after I experienced a power failure during a print job. I can clear the jam and the error message, but as soon as another page comes through it happens again. It also jams at the paper tray feed, but this is subsequent to the other jam and both can be cleared. I have cleaned the unit, changed out the fuser, and changed out the transfer belt. None of my "fixes" work. The printer prints on the sheet but never fuses because of the jam. I have also tried to do manual feed, no luck. The only other clue is there is a slight impression where three rollers contact the page on the top 1/2 inch of the printed page. Please help give me direction.

The problem is actually in the front cover, the second sheet jams. The printer prints fine from the multi-purpose tray.

Okay, I have this problem I think. It is jamming on the OUTPUT side of the fuser, and I have replaced the fuser with a new one.
I learned tonight, through trying various things, that it will not jam with the printer lid open. (you can make it "print" with the lid open if you push the lid switch in so that the printer thinks it is closed. That made me wonder if it had anything to do with the led strips (black bars attached to the lid) so just for fun I unplugged the C led strip so that it wouldn't produce any light onto the drum. With the lid closed and the C disconnected, the printer will not jam. (but you get no blue on the page of course!) when I re-connect the C led strip, it jams on the output side of the fuser every time. It is very consistent.
I don't understand how putting blue toner on a paper can make it curl so much that it jams up in the fuser, but it does.
I'm sure there is something else gong on here that I don't fully understand- hopefully someone who knows more than I do can use this info to help us all out a little.
I'm going to go and fiddle with the drums now. I don't have an extra one right now, but I'll see if I can narrow it down further.

My oki c3400n continual paper jam's at the fuser. Paper comes out of the printer about 2 inches then jam's. I clear it and it happens again. Don't see any contamination on the fuser roller.

There are paper path cleaner sheets that you can get at supply stores or on line. They are sticky on both sides. They pick up paper dust from the rollers as it passes through the printer.

I bought a new Oki C610 a couple of months ago to start up a custom art business. From the beginning, the DCT 4.5 paper has stuck to the fuser roller. With the first fuser cartridge, it just dog-earred on...

Hi my reply was too long heres the second half..and ill retype the first as a comment

Try printing lighter prints, heavy toner saturation causes paper to stick to fusers and try to keep leading edge of print blank with no big blobs of colour for the same reason, ensure page sizes are set correctly in driver and machine tray settings and dont print outside margins , if you are about to print outside margins your printer driver should warn you, dont click ok if it does

Here is your user manual for your oki. and a link to oki print drivers to suit 610

Here is a link to Magic touch Australia that i thought has some good info re transfer paper use

Ensure your printer works ok with plain paper so we know it aint a printer fault but I'd say it due to how we are feeding the paper and how we have the paper type set and not feeding out the rear as I also think we should be.

Oki does the best colour prints nice and glossy, I dont think many come close to such great colour prints in fact I only like Oki and Kyocera stuff in Colour toner laser machines. Stear clear of cheap non oki toners and supplies because they cause heaps of issues and wreck printers and give many print quality issues, I dont work for OKI directly just telling you how it is in the field ;)

Let me know if you need more help and how you go

Cheers
Steve

Paper jams in heater

Hello

An overheated fuser is one of the most common causes of a paper jam. When large loads of print jobs are pushed through a printer, the fuser slowly starts to warm up. As the fuser warms up, the heat causes the corners of the printer paper to bend. The hotter the fuser gets, the more the paper bends. Eventually the paper bends so much that it causes the paper to get stuck in the fuser, causing a jam.

If you cannot find any other reason for a continuous printer jam, the problem may be the roller. A cracked roller can easily grab a piece of paper and get it caught. A glazed-over or dirty roller can also cause the paper to get caught on the roller and jam the printer. If the roller is cracked or glazed, you may need to call your print technician or replace the roller.

Paper Jam. It starts printing and stops half way through its print cycle, says paper jam, in fact their is no jam.

check if this is happening from all trays... if such clean the paper feed rollers... if still happening clean any other rollers in paper path... if still happening then you have a bad sensor that keeps tripping at the wrong time... but more than likely this is only occuring with one tray... clean your feed rollers and it should be ok... still not ok... then replace feed rollers... there is also the possibility that your fuser is shot... your can tell if your fuser is shot if... when you put your hand near it... it doesn't feel like it could burn you... if you can actually get to touch it and its cool to the touch... then you got a bad fuser...

The paper gets jammed before entering the fuser and curls up. The fuser is new and I have printed no more than 100 copies

What I have seen a lot of is that the lower roller is stalling or not turning. Rough it up with a Scotch-Brite Pad. The upper roller turns by a gear and drives the lower roller by friction.

OKI c3200 Laser Printer...

There are 3 little black and white rollers under the cover on the back of the printer. They are pushed under the upper rollers. They should be on the outside of the upper rollers. Somehow they got wedged under the upper rollers. This should fix the accordian paper jam.

Time to replace fuser?

Cant picture you fault, if fuser is over 12 months old then change it, it should have smooth orange rubber rollers, not serviceable item normally.

I'm not sure but I think you issue may be you are not setting the paper type correctly to suit media you are printing on ie card. If this is the case fuser runs at wrong temp an fails to apply enough heat to fuse/melt the toner into the paper and fuser rollers gunk up.

Paper jam 580

You know what I would try, look in the fuser unit and see if any paper ripped off and got stuck in there. Wait until it's cooled down, but usually if you have to pull paper of of there, little pieces can get caught in there. Also, you may have a full sheet in there, I've had people leave and entire sheet in the fuser all scrunched up and the machine print fine for another 100 prints and then have an error and the paper coming out looking like it almost caught fire.

That's where I would look first if there isn't anything in the print path under the toners, etc.
