Check the ram memory ..it is about the only thing you can check quick and cause this issue ..the black screen is a fail boot ..and it is from the ram memory or the video board ..cause if it was from the cpu it would never start at all and would not beep

This is very common and famous problems with All HP DV Series Laptops that usually have NVidia Graphic Chip.
Best solution is to Replace that Graphic Chip With New One.
Hence again increase its life.
If you try to repair it then no guaranty.
also
try to avoid high graphic programs like games, videos, heavy graphical software.

You should determine the exact component that is causing the issue of a black screen. For this, restart the computer first in Safe Mode. Before troubleshooting, first take a backup of all the system files. Then determine which component is causing the problem. Find the extent of the damage caused by this problem. Then measures should be adopted to solve the issue. If the issue cannot be solved by you alone, then HP customer care should be contacted.

Tiny laptop. Loud constant beep during start up, will not start.

This problem is commonly happen form the memory or RAM. At this time you need to check the memory. Remove the memory and turn it on identify in there is sound provided. This could be a problem with the system memory, an expansion card, or the motherboard.
Try to use another RAM or use the another memory slot. Clean the RAM and also the memory slot.

Good luck!

Hp computer will start, all the lights come on but the screen is black.. also.. it makes this loud beeping noise 4 times?? whats wrong?

The beep is more than likely a beep code (sounds stupid and obvious, but they're there for a reason).

What make/model is your machine? We can look up the code by make/model. That will diagnose your problem.
