The X5470was working fine yesterday. Today I went to fax something and none of the usual green lights were on. The LCD screen still showed the date and time. Tried turning it off via the power button to no avail. Pulled power cord out at wall. Now it won't turn on at all. Nothing lights up, I've triple checked the power pack, cord and wall socket.

It should work OK once you plug it back in. Note there are three places to check the power connection.
- The power pack has to be inserted firmly
- the cord that goes into the power pack
- the cord into the wall - be sure to check the wall outlet with a lamp or something to make sure it's not an overall power problem/breaker, etc.

Printer wont turn on

Try to unplug the power adapter at the back of the printer and check if the LED light is on. If not, try to plug in the power cord to another power outlet. If still the same problem, the power adapter is the culprit.

If the LED light is on, make sure to plug in the power adapter all the way in the printer.

HP Officejet Pro L7580 says I unplugged it, but I didn't!

It sounds like the printer is suffering from some kind of hardware failure which may have been caused by a power surge or similar.

I've never heard of this particular problem and I doubt HP will have either but my advice would be to contact HP support and see if they can provide more information or advise you better.

Unfortunately if my guess is right, there's really not a lot you can do except replace the printer with a new one.
