Pansonic dimension 4 combination microwave: Suddenly cut out. Will not power up at all. Fuse in the sealed plug is OK. Socket is OK. Could it be some type of fuse in the microwave itself? Regards Annemaire

Oh i see there is not really a fuse inside a microwave there is the power supply
a round electrical heating element and lots of wires
i would say the main supply of power has gone what ever you do dont open it even no its off at the wall and unplugged it holds charge in the capacitors up to 6 months it will give you the shock of your life its easier buying a new one unless its under warranty

But it may be best if you take the microwave to a professional for repair, as the fuse blows its a sign of another internal problem, replaceing the fuse, it might just blow again. So I would suggest if your microware is out of warranty to seak a local repairman, or take it to someone.

Panasonic Microwave NN-CT552W has no power - plug fuse ok - Has it got a thermal cut out or internal fuse? - Unit was ok after cooking some jacket potatoes

All microwaves has both internal thermal cut out and internal fuse, Yours problem sounds like an open 9 volts transformer that power up the front panel

My microwave suddenly has no power, clock etc. I checked the breaker, and the plug-in - both are on. Is there a fuse inside the microwave that blew? r

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya:
This is a very common issue with microwaves
Yes you are right it does indeed have a fuse inside of it
you first need to unplug it of course then take out all of the screws that are along the outer edge on the back there may be 4 or 6 ok next there are 3 or 4 screws that are on the sides that need to be removed ten if you take a small flat tip screw driver and insert it in the seam at the top towards the front you should be able to slide the cover back about 1 to 2 inches then it will lift up and slide off
Next if you look towards the front on the same side as the power panel yuwill see a electronic board it has the fuse on it it looks like this picture i have below simply remove the fuse and replace it WITH THE EXACT TYPE OF FUSE OK
then plug it in and ensure every thing is working if so great go ahead and unplugit again and put the cover back on ok but if not please post me back so i can continue the troubleshooting from there ok ? here is the pict

I have taken the microwave oven out of the box. I have plug the equipment into the mains supply. Absolutely nothing happens. Mains supply o.K. Main 13 amp fuse O.K. Is it me or is this equipment u.s.

Hi,
If your sure that the socket you are plugging it in to (try something alse in it) is ok and the fuse in the microwave plug is ok and the microwave is not powering up at all then take it back to where you bought it for an exchange.
hope this helps.

Microwave is plugged in, but getting no power, circuit ok, cannot find a fuse on the microwave.

Normally if no power is indicated, it is due to a blown fuse but if fuse has blown be careful, it because there is something wrong. Mostly its due to a problem in the power circuit. Can either be the magnatron or the diode capacitor combination.Normally the capacitor goes faulty causing the HV diode to blow. Replace the two components(diode and cap.). If it happens again replace the magnatron. Microwave truely dangerous and needs proffesional att. email me if you want to go ahead yourself

I cant turn the microwave oven on without the fuse cutting out

If you got the interior of the unit wet you may just wait a couple of days for it to dry out and it will be ok again. You may also plug your microwave in to another outlet, one that still works when the fuse that blows is unscrewed.

Finally you have a 1000 watt microwave which translates to using 10 amps of power. If you have a 15 amp circuit, looking at the number on the fuse, and you have other things plugged into that circuit like a toaster, toaster oven, coffee pot, hair blow dryer, etc, you may simply have to unplug something else to provide your microwave with the power it needs. good luck.

Kenmore Elite Microwave Oven (mod 565.61589011). No power or display suddenly. Circuit OK and no traumatic episode to suggest cause.

usually it is the fuse that blows out.if u remove control panel u cna see 20 amf fuse behind if.chk for continuity.if open replace it. it also could be the cavity thermal cut off must have blown out if cooking is done 4 long period.it is mounted on top of cavity. similar way as fuse chk 4 continuity.if open replace it

Faulty Panasonic inverter dimension 4 combination microwave

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.
