Right click on the speaker icon on the bottom-right corner of your screen and select "Adjust Audio Properties" as shown here.
my problem is my sound - 17ed1f6.gif
In the new window, check the volume sliders and drag them to the highest position. Uncheck the Mute checkbox (if already checked).
bed9fce.gif Click on Advanced in the window above and move on to the next stage. Please be particular in every step. Now after clicking the Advanced button, Master Audio window should crop up as shown below.
ee12f6e.gif Drag the sliders "Wave" and "SW Synth" to the top and uncheck the mute checkbox if needed.
Now, your device is ready to deliver sound.
Try & reply.

I believe your audio chip to be the AMD HD so called HIGH DEFFINITION AUDIO CHIP

www.toshiba.com driver downloads would be the first place to look.

Always go to the manufacturer first for drivers. as they will be the most compatable.

The AMD HD audio chip is quite common these days , drivers for it can be found almost anywhere.

I personaly dispise the AMD HD audio chip as it's nowhere near as good as X-Fi extreme gammer card made by creative labs.

saying AMD HD audio chip is almost like saying AC97 codec , notorious for lousy performance.

I have the right to say I don't like the AMD HD audio chip , especialy when it can be proven that it's inferior to other solutions.

I recommend ditching it as soon as possible.

I have no idea why the computer industry thinks we're stupid.

I know this post will fixya , please overlook my rant lol

Toshiba satellite P205-S6287 the power button

Make sure the battery has a full charge, and that it's plugged into a wall socket, then try the power button. You will get the same symptoms as a bad power switch if your battery power is very low. Other than that, the battery could be bad, or going bad. If the problem is a faulty power switch, you will have to have it replaced.

Volume Icon has disappeared.

First, right click on the taskbar and select Properties from the right click menu.

Alternatively, you can go to the Control Panel and type the word 'taskbar' in the search box from the upper-right side. Once the search results are loaded, click on the link that says 'Customize icons on the taskbar'.

The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window will show up on your screen. Here, go to the tab called Notification Area. In the System icons section check the Volume box and click on OK.

The Volume Mixer icon will now show up in the notification area of your taskbar

I hope that this information was helpful and thank you for contacting the experts.

Have you tried using the Control Panel to see if something got changed? Navigate to the Control Panel by clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel. Then double click on the Sounds and Audio devices icon. Make sure the Mute box is unchecked and the volume is turned up.
