After flight home, laptop will not boot up or give any display, althought the power does come on.

Please remove off the battery and keep aside and let the voltage on the PC die off, press all keys and main power. Now after about 30 minutes reset the battery. if this has passed through any scanning device , it could have created some errors specially if this was in standby/hibernate state. If not there are errors in the OS or a possible failure of the memory.
Please also check the bios battery that is in the laptop... check on the underside.

Does it support windows 7 64-bit version

It would depend of course on the laptop, from what I've heard the minimum specs for 64 bit windows 7 are a 1ghz processor with 2 gb ram and 20 gb harddrive.

here is a nice site from microsoft which goes into detail, althought basically any laptop from around 2004-2005 and up should be able to run windows 7 what what research and experience I've had.

I am trying to connect to the internet on my sony NR32L/S laptop and althought i have full signal it says i have low connectivity and so i cannot connect to the internet.

if you mean limited connectivity, you must have the wrong password for your laptop to connect if it's secured, or you need to set your wireless connection in network connections to obtain an ip address automatically.
