I have problem with my Panasonic SA-VK31 220 Volt 5-VCD/CD Changer Shelf System.

The problem is when I try to turn it on I get eror message which says ( F61 ).

I realy don't know what I have 2 do.

I have a computer problem panasonic SC - VK 950 to which all commands will work but the display will not start, I check the voltage estrada etc, change the display but still does not turn on this, I appreciate if I can help to solve I'm in Bogotá this problem and my email is Clombia

Contact the panasonic factory service in your owners manual. I searched for that IC # and Its not listed in any of my sourse books. It may only be available through panasonic overseas? Good Luck

I had to replug things in for my dish and unit sat sidewards to get to plugs. It now says locked and can eject disc, select source. Help

Try this:

Press and hold [?] (Stop) on the main unit and [>10] on the remote control until "INITIALIZED" disappears from the TV. Turn the unit off and on again.

All settings should return to the default values.
Not saying it will work though!

F61 is an error code.
It will automatically shuts down your unit.
This is very common on your unit.

Try to checked if the fan is working or not.
I have repaired some unit before, this is the caused why f61 appeared.
The symptom is shutting down the unit after a few minute.
If the fan is not working it will shuts off automatically to avoid further damaged to your output I.C. from overheating.

If confirmed that the fan is working then I've suspect that your output I.C. is shorted.
This is quit technical and need to send to repair shop to isolate the faulty parts.
The output IC of your unit is RSN series and quite expensive.

On the DVD player Press the button that has a black square on it, while holding it down press the ">10/ENTER" on the remote while its pointed towards the dvd player for about 3 seconds until "Initialized disappears from the screen. This will reset the unit to factory defaults.
