"[A] set of Sony Speakers" is meaningless. What model(s)? If they're part of an all-in-one system they may not be suitable for the JVC.

Manuals exist for everything. Read them.

This receiver is designed for standard commonly available 8-ohm (nominal) speakers that connect with common stripped end lamp cord or speaker wire.

What do I have to do to hookup a headphone to my 60 in vizio TV?

Without opening set, easiest thing you can do is hook up a small receiver to the audio outputs of tv and then plug your headphones into the headphone output of receiver. And when not using the headphones you can always hook up some external speakers to the receiver - they will always sound better that the speakers that come with the tv.

How to hook up to panasonic tv & sony dvd player

DVD output (HDMI) to HDMI input on TV will transfer both audio and video from DVD to TV. Audio output on TV to unused Input on Yamaha receiver (Aux, CD, etc.). This hookup will allow DVD and TV channels audio playback through your Yamaha receiver. Remember to test any/all new hookups or connections using minimum settings (volume, etc.), and bring up levels slowly for the initial testing.

Hook up two sets of speakers on a Sony STR 6055 stereo receiver

Wow, that's an old piece of kit! If you connect the second set of speakers up correctly at the rear and set the front knob to "remote" or "both" they should work. If not, something seriously wrong, but it may only be an internal connection problem - and if never used before - since 1971 - then some terminals may need cleaning.

How to hook up Panasonic SB PM19 speakers to SA-PM23 reciever

yes you can. these are called "bi wired" speakers which means there's a hook up for the woofer and the tweeter individually. If your amp have just 2 speaker hookups it's no problem to hook the woofer/tweeter wires of each speaker together. If your amp had 4 speaker hookups, you could put the tweeters in 1 and the woofers in the other but it will still work fine with 2 speaker hookups.

I'm trying to hook up a sharp aquos tv to an rca surround sound receiver and it won't work? any suggestions? I have tried turning off the speakers on the tv....

First thing to do is get the owner manual for each and start checking both settings and actual hookup---usually a surround system will work on all types of sets---when in doubt read the owner manuals.

If need either manual Google that model number with "manual" to try to locate it.

As far as the set goes it may require either a variable audio output source or in some cases the out to be a fixed level.

IPOD hook up to receiver

The problem is the phono hookup, which is not a standard line-level input. Phono is only appropriate for a turntable (record player)

Plug the ipod into any other input, and you'll be all set.

If this helps, be sure to hit the "thumbs up" for me!

Connect audio components for recording Cassette to CD

Try this since you do not supply model numbers. If your receiver and CD have digital audio connector (coaxil or fiber) hook the receiver output to the cd input.

If you do not, see if there is a spare set of RCA jacks for output. If not, just hook up the cd player in the cassette jacks-there is always a cassette in and out-and hook your cd player to an auxillary input or use the cd player input.

Remeber though, cassettes have inherently more noise than cd so your cds will not sound like a pre-packed cd.
