I took the cover off my tower and the issue went away.

Hi first of all check that nothing is touching the blades then spry some oil in the hinge (WD40..) make sure both ways of the fan are open for good air flow if the SUDDEN accelerations annoys you then connect it soo it will run all the time - take the red and black wires to the red and black wires of the 5v hardiscs good luck

Thank you for the suggestion, nothing touches the blades, and like I said, I replaced fan, but problem never goes away.
hey, my acer laptop does the same thing. I don't know what caused it, but when the fan runs, it's pretty annoying, and even before the fan acted up, the laptop would over heat, and using it on my lap sometimes burns. I thought laptops were supposed used on either a table or your lap.
