Do a firmware restore first (connect to itunes and click restore). If it still freezes after successful restore, you'll need a new logic board. If the apple store doesn't help you, you can try to repair it yourself. here's a guide on how to disassemble an iPhone. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you. If you want to have somebody else do it for you there are third party iPhone Repair Services.
