First, make sure the printer is correctly plugged into the power outlet and connected to the computer in question. If it is and you can't see it in Windows, that means you are missing the driver of your printer.
If you still have the documentation that came with your printer, there should be a CD with it that will install the driver for you. Put in the CD tray, and the installer should start automatically. If it doesn't, click on the start button on the lower left of your screen, then click on "Computer". You should see either a CD logo or a Lexmark logo. Double click on it. That will start the installer. Then, you will probably have to follow a couple of easy steps (clicking on OK or something like that), and the driver will be installed. You will then have to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
If you can't find the installation CD, try the following. Go to:
http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=EN&page=product&userlocale=EN_US&productCode=LEXMARK_Z816&focusedTab=DOWNLOADS#1. On the bottom of the page, select your Windows version (for Windows 7, select Windows Vista). A link should appear at the bottom of the page saying: "Driver for ...". Click on it. Then click on download. Once the program has finished downloading, simply double-click on it and the installation should start. Once it is finished, restart your computer and the printer should work.
