How do i download music from laptop onto my ipod

Download Itunes install it then sign into itune with the same account info from where you first loaded the music onto your ipod then plug ipod into laptop and sync with the laptop.

If you do not have iTunes already downloaded onto your new laptop then you need to download it before you can put music from your computer onto your iPod.
Go to this link http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ to download iTunes (free). Once it is downloaded, you have to import your music that's on your computer onto your iTunes. This will take a while if you have a lot of music.
After that is done, you will be able to plug your iPod into your laptop and iTunes should recognize it and from there you'll be able to put your music onto the iPod.
Remember though, after you format your iPod to a PC you cannot plug it into a Mac (or Mac then to a PC) to put music on it, as it is already formatted to one and if you want music from the other you will have to reformat it which causes you to lose all of your music currently on it.
Be sure that the computer you are formatting it to (PC or Mac) is the kind you will be using for music at all times.

go to import music from folder and go to my music folder and bingo all your music will be in a language that your ipod will read.

are you trying to copy music onto a cd disk or onto your ipod. If you are trying to copy music onto your ipod, you will have to clear the ipod of the music that was loaded onto it previously, because it will not detect your new settings on your laptop. An easy way to do this is copy over your itunes music folder onto cd/dvd from your old computer and paste the music into your itunes music folder on your laptop. When you open itunes go to file, import file, and choose your itunes music folder. (If it hasn't aready automatically picked the music up). This will put all of your music back into the itunes library. You will then need to create another playlist for your ipod. Reset your ipod in itunes mode and upload your new playlist onto it. i can`t get my i pod to turn on.how do i do that?all i get is a picture of a disk with a music note on top with a usb cable pic pointing toward the disk and music note. thanks

There is a program called IPOD ACCESS that will allow you to work outside of ITunes and will allow you to backup your library to your computer. Good Luck

Each iPod usually only syncs up to 1 computer. try downloading a program called idump. It allows you to take all of your music and files off the ipod and onto the computer, without having to restore. Then you'll have to restore the ipod, and put all the songs back onto it.
