You need to have iTunes installed on your computer. It's a free download from Apple. Load your CD's into iTunes or buy songs from the Apple iTunes Music Store. Connect your iPod shuffle and synch.

plug it in, then use itunes to restore your ipod to factory settings. Yes - just make sure there is nothing listed in the license column. I have never had a single problem transferring using this music service.
