Key board and optical mouse - PS2

Hi,

I am using Desktop with Win xp. My optical mouse and key board is not working. I could see both were down at the same time, really surprsing. If I try with other pair ( different set of Mouse and Key board for the same desktop ), it works gud.

If I connect the spoiled one, at times it works. While booting lights do glow on the key board and there is light glowing in the Optical mouse. Also, I could notice that lights are blinking in the Key board ( Numlock, caps lock, scroll lock ).

Could you please suggest whether the issue is with the key board and mouse or any other software issue. Also, I have formatted and reinstalled the Win xp. Itz a home pc and i use it vry rarely..

Muito simples:faz o download dos drives do teclado e rato da versão superior á que tens.depois vais ao painel de control+sistema+hardware,e fazes a actualização dos controladores.

VERY IMPORTANT:COPY ALL DRIVES TO DESKTOP.

Using Windows 7 - My USB logitech M-BJ58 mouse keeps disconnecting/reconnecting. It works fine on my old XP system. I've tried different USB ports, but I'll be working fine then heard the USB disconnect...

I am thinking you may have to do a system restore to before you got the update. Did you update the drivers for the mouse for Windows 7? Sometimes the older OS drivers get buggy on Win 7. You can get the drivers for free from Logitech's website. One other thing to check, make sure the USB connector is not worn, sloppy or has a broken wire under the rubber cover. It can happen. You should be able to remove the last Win update then you will know if that is the culprit. Hope that helps.

My old keyboard exchanged for the new one, does not work

You should not need any additional hardware - but you may have to install a driver (software).

If you just bought the keyboard it should have come with an installeation disc. If you don't have that you can go to the following Logitech website and peform the auto scan function (your new keyboard should be attached via USB cable.

This scan will detect the keyboard and tell you if you need any additional drivers installed.

try a new mouse or try the current mosue with another PC that will give u a fare idea of what's wrong...if the mosue is ok then it should work in another PC else, u nned to get a a new mouse...
another option is to buy a new PS2 mouse that can go into the external keyboard/mouse point behind the laptop, that way if there is an issue with ur USB port it will be known...

Logitech V320 cordless optical mouse-work with Win ME?

No, the drivers will only support windows XP at the lowest.

But windows ME will support a standard serial mouse, which are still available, the drivers are already installed.

Wireless Multimedia keyboard volume keys won't work.

Go to start and run then type services.msc or if using windows 7 just go to start and type services.msc in the search box. Once open find the service "Human Interface Device Access". Change it from manual to automatic and make sure that it is started.

Sounds like the driver has become corrupted. You will have to uninstall then reinstall the drivers. Lets start with that, let me know how it goes and we can take it further.

Mouse not recognized/ mouse port not working

I kept hold about 30 seconds the blue light button on the USB controller device and it worked!. I guess that's the way to sinchronize both the mouse and the USB controller of the mouse. Ramón.
