Keypad is explained on page 4.
If you reset timer by holding down reset button and clear button, all programming will be lost.
So it is better to change data instead of clear all data.

Instruction manual says timer displays prompts that guide through steps.
So some steps are automated.
Page 3: Put RUN-SET slide switch into SET position to enter, review, or clear data
Two categories of of data: set-up and programming.
Page 4 suggests that putting slide switch into SET position will display each setting in sequence.
You enter data using keypad, and then okay data presumably by pressing OK button.
To save data, move RUN-SET slide switch to RUN position.

Model 39A gets too hot too fast

That model has a thermostat (also called a high limit) that is set at 450F. it should produce a popping cycle of 3 mins, and yes will burn popcorn if you don't dump it fairly quickly.
The speed it heats cannot be too fast, there is only so many watts in the heat element. it may go to hot, but never to fast.
The best way to test temp is time the 2nd popping cycle with a stop watch. the second batch should be 3 mins +/- 30 seconds. if it is 4 mins it is too cold. a 2 min popping cycle is to hot.
A popper that is too cold is also popping poor quality popcorn, higher amount of unpopped kernels, and small chewy popcorn.
Measure carfully when doing time test popping. That model is 2oz oil, 6oz popcorn, and 1 tsp salt. Start timing when you put ingredients in, and stop when you dump it. The kettle must be hot, that is why you time the 2nd batch.

I hope this will help you..

I need a wiring diagram for an intermatic timer model et70215c

Add a comment and say what voltage you are working with and what you are controlling with timer. Example wiring:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Intermatic-et70215cr-wiring-900.jpg

ET70215C timer is a 2-channel timer that can be wired MANY different ways, to control multiple voltages in different ways.
Each channel can be programmed separately to control 2 different loads with different schedules for each load.

Clock terminals are 1 and 2, and default clock voltage is 120Volts, but can be set for 208, 240 or 277Volts.

The switching terminals 3 4 5 6 7 8 are 'dry.' Max load rating is 20 amps per terminal
Dry terminals receive no power when voltage is applied to clock terminals 1 and 2.
This lets you to have 120Volt clock, but control 240Volt circuit with one of the channels, and 24volt with other channel.
Or you can jumper from the clock terminals and put power to terminals 3 and 6 as shown in illustration above.
The timer ALSO has NO and NC terminals that reverse the circuit each time the program turns the switch on-and-off. So when timer program is OFF then power travels from terminal 3 to terminal 5. When program is ON, power travels from terminal 3 to terminal 4.

My clocks time automatically set itself wrong. it is in the correct time zone and about 7 min. to fast, how to i manually change the time?

What you need to do first is place your cursor in the bottom right hand part of the screen, right over the date and time stamp. Right click your mouse, and a option menu will appear. Click on the "adjust time and date." A window should then open with options on setting you time and date. Click in the little box where the time is, and you can select and manually change the numbers to the correct time! Hope this helps and if you have any other questions, please post back!

I am programming the intermatic ET70215C to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. The two switches led lights come on time but not load is switching. I tried resetting the device and replacing the battery...

If indicator lights turn ON-OFF on schedule, then timer is programmed correctly.
Timer default voltage is 120Volt. Page 29 of manual shows how to change voltage.
Load rating is max 20amps.
This timer is not made for heavy amp loads, but instead is made to control a contactor for switching heavy loads. Add a comment for more information about contactors.

1) Are timer relays clicking on and off?
Test for voltage across terminals when indicator shows.
Check that load is operational.
Following link shows typical 120Volt wiring
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Intermatic-et70215cr-wiring-900.jpg

2) Terminals 3 thru 8 are dry and receive no power when wires from breaker box connect to terminals 1 and 2. Jumper from terminal 2 is needed to put power to timer circuits.

3) Only copper wire and no insulation can be under terminal screw plate. Two wires under same screw plate have to be same gauge and type, so mixing stranded wire and solid copper wire will cause loose connections.

4) This is 2-channel timer, so both relay circuits can be programmed independently: If programming is set for relay 2, but wires are connected to relay 1, then programming will not work.

5) Programming difficulty: Usually last step troubleshoot is replace battery and then reset timer after battery replacement.
Press and hold clear key and then press reset momentarily
Keep holding clear button until 'reset' displays.

Typical manual is 39 pages long. Add a comment about specific part of manual that is not clear, for possible help.
