Is your Recording Device Set to the mic on that Headset ?
Right click on the sound icon on the bottom right and press Recording devices , Then enable the mic on that list

You did not specify the problem here, friend. But I think the problem might be the sound or the input microphone or headset...
If you hear no sound or voice you suspect first the headset or the speaker. Try to use good speaker and or headset to know if there is no problem within those device. If you hear nothing...the problem is the sound card and you need to replace the sound card with new
this type of problum occurs when you have not installed any sound software .it also may be that there is a problum with your cpu sound card.

i have cyber acoustics headset and i cant hear anything but my Mic works, my sound is all fine, when i plug my headset out i can hear but when its plugged in, i cant hear anything.
On your ps3, go to accessory settings, then sound settings.
Make sure the output device is the same as the input device, ie. your headset. Hope i helped :)
try uninstalling sound card from the device manager and reboot the computer.
if the mic does not return you may be missing a driver contact your laptop manufacturer or download new sound card drivers from the websight to restore mic function.
Is your sound card built in? If so, that is the disavantage of a "built-in". If you are already using it for quite a long time it will suddenly not work. To solve this, you have to buy a new sound card and install it to your PC. I recommend "C-Media 8738" for you. That is also the one that i am using right now.
Is your microphone integrated into your webcam? Make sure the correct device is selected. Go into Edit, Settings, Enhanced IM. Under Audio and Video, make sure the Microphone device selected is a functioning mic, such as Logitech Mic, or if using a headset, select the USB headset (if usb) or your sound card if using a mic plugged into your built in or add-on sound card.
The issue lies in the glass fiber wire, the wire is coated with a conductive metal only a fe mircons thick.
Simply put the headset is a poor production model, the use of glass fiber wire more often than not results in a short in the wiring. Thus the sound will come out of one side, not at all, etc.
