Problem for Lenovo PC Laptops

Lenovo 3000 N200 battery wont charge

it went into hibernate as the battery was low. I plugged in to charge the battery and the battery is not charging. The battery light flashes red for about a monute then stops. I have tried removing the battery and putting it in again. I guess its a battery problem?

no it might not be a battorey problem it could be a software problem,
