Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router

Problem with wired connection

My Linksys WRT54G suddenly has a problem with its wired connection. The wireless connection still works, there is internet, except for the wired PC. The wired PC has sync in the PC status and the router, but i cannot ping or access the router page. When not connected to a PC, the LED for the for LAN Ports are not lit except for Port 2. If the place the LAN wire to port 2, the LED switches off and the PC status indicates no connection. It may be due to unstable power supply. I've tried to flash it in different ways to no avail. Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you for the response. But I don't think it's a power supply issue from the adapter since the wireless was working fine. What I meant was at that time, there may be a power surge that did damage to the router. Sorry for my clear explanation.

If the wireless has stopped working, but wired can, either your wifi modem on your laptop needs to be reset or the wifi router has to be reset. Make sure you have restarted your laptop and unplugged the wifi router.

Linksys wrt54g SRX200. I can connect to my router

It appears the connection between the Linksys and the modem is not working.
Try a different LAN cable.
Check the LAN cable from the modem to the Linksys, it should be connected to the WAN/Internet port on the Linksys.

You can make the router working even without using the CD. Who is your ISP? Are you having concern with wired or wireless connection?

Linksys WRT54GS not working

  1. First you may need to check if the WLAN or Wireless light on the router is on.
  2. Try connecting your ITouch to a different wireless network.
  3. If you can borrow a wireless ready laptop from a friend, then borrow one.
  4. Check if the laptop will be able to detect a wireless signal from router.
Please update me about this matter.

Need to add Linksys WRT54G-TM wireless router with Linksys SPA 2102 phone adapter

your SPA2102-R seems to have one ethernet connection and one internet connection.
your WRT54G-TM seems to have one internet connection and 4 ethernet connections.

What you are trying to achive is; plug a ethernet cable into the ethernet connection on your SPA2102-R then plug the other end into the internet port of the WRT54G-TM

hope this helps, I have assumed that you intend to use a DSL broadband supplier not ADSL.

if you are changing service from DSL to ADSL then your WRT54G-TM needs to be first in line configured and working. then plug the internet port from the SPA2102-R into any of the WRT54G-TM ethernet ports.
