My tom tom go wont come on. Green power light only works when it is plugged in. when you unplug it the light goes off. will not work when plugged in either. Screen is black all the time. Also the reset button is broken off and missing.

try the usb cable to your. this is the recommended method to charge a tomtom when it wont power on. for reasons unexplained by tomtom they do not recommend the car or house charges.
plug it in via the usb cable to your computer for a few hours(make sure the green light is on and nice and bright) then press and hold the power button(this could take up to 20 seconds)
Try doing a device update while connected to tomtom home, if that doesnt work backup your device onto your commputer and try reinstalling the software and maps ect onto your device.
hold the power on button down until it turns on, does this help, also being plugged into charger with green light coming on normally means that the unit is charged.
If the problem exists both when you use the vehicle power connector and the usb cable to your computer, then you have to assume that the problem is with the socket on the One. If it's still in warranty, I would send it back to Tom Tom for repair. Contact customer support for repair information.
I got the TomTom for my husband and it warked fine for 2 days and now it will not turn on at all. It was feo our 40thAnniversay. Now it will not work. Please help me. They would not take it back at Wal-mart because of the time limit.
stevi at the back of your tom tom where your windscreen dock goes there is a small rubber bumper if you look to the right and down you will see the reset button it is a small hole above the dock socket. sandy

Press the power button for 15 seconds and your tomtom will turn on with the drum sounds yor tomtom will now reset but nothing will be deleted off it and it will now hope fully work.
