I agree. We've had nothing but problems with the VIking stainless we bought only 2 years ago -- sliding trays pop out constantly, handles broke off without much stress, ice machine no longer works, water leakage draining on the floor (fixed twice now), etc., etc., etc.

    Buy a Subzero instead.

I just started having the same problem with my 48" frig/ freezer Viking Designer series 2 years old- this has been a hot summer, we were not home much and the AC in the house was set higher 78 degrees so the frig I guess had to work a bit more - when I open the door to the frig water droplets acually run down the interior of the door and the box insde is always damp - I also have stress cracks in the interior shell of the frig - repairman is trying to get Viking to fix it- it has been a year now and it still is not fixed- the stress cracks were caused by improper insulation application to the inside of the frig according to the repair people- Also my handles have pealed - like the stainless steel is not really stainless steel - Any ways could the temp in the house changed - does not mean the frig should not work well - For what it costs, I expected better

Refrigerator sweating

it is probably set too cold and the defrost cycle is not enough to get rid of all the humidity that is generated. try moving the control to warmer temperature.

"Hi, I have a questions

It seems you will need a service technician again. Be sure you got a warranty if you agreed to service your refrigerator. If you use the refrigerator correctly it will never go bad for less than a year and call for service repair. But if you definitely used it correctly, chances are the refrigerator you brought have a factory defect.
I hope my advice help you.

WHY IS ICE BUILDING IN THE AREA WHERE ICE EXITS MACHINE (BOTTOM) & INSIDE DOOR EXIT? THEREFORE, INTERFERING OPENING THE DOOR. I HAVE REMOVED SEVERAL TIMES & IT HAPPENS AGAIN?

this ice is coming from the air after you open the door of your ref.the cold air goes down and the hot air enter to your ref. the hot air is highly on humidity that cause of building of an ice. try to fix your door maybe the doorgasket isnot align that has leakage of cold air on your ref . avoid too much door openings. or try to defrost your ref. weekly.

Nasty tasting ice cubes

Change the supply line to the plastic tube line or copper. Do not use a braided plastic or metal braided line these will make the water taste bad. Changed mine to the plastic line and cured mine, no filters needed.

It may be high humidity of the air outside of the refrigerator or you are storing highly humid things inside along with the settings of the fridge.

We have a ge pds20mcr bottom freezer ref and have a foul odor coming from the bottom of ref.

If the odor is only present from the bottom of the fridge, and not inside the freezer or when it is shut, it is most likely spoiled something. Put everything in a few coolers, cover with ice and close up, spray out the fridge with some cleaner and let the freezer defrost if there is ice buildup on racks or surfaces. After the fridge is clean, I suggest using a box of baking soda to keep odors out of your fridge. Arm & Hammer recommends replacing these boxes every 30 days, but I've had mine in there for 6 months or so and it helps.

Combo75 icemaker

hi,

make sure you have enough stock in your ref. for the supplied water for ice maker not to be frozen. or if sometimes you have less supply inside your ref., then put some gallons of water and stock it in your ref. and in your thermostat steady to the lowest setting.
