I have a HP officejet j6400 one day a paper jam message showed on the screen and now the message wont go away and the fax or printer wont work. There is no paper in the printer.

I have the same issue. I've only had the printer for 2 days. On the second day, I got a paper jam message (even though there wasn't an actual paper jam). To print the document, I simply hit the OK button on the printer to acknowledge the message. Note that I didn't move or touch the paper tray or the paper in the paper tray.

Dear
You can customize the setting to scan area and resolution of scan.
Try to use the application provided by the manufacture.

Thanks.

Printer leaves line on document when printing and scanning

On these printers, thats usually a blank line. You can try to clean the print heads but it usually means a replacement print head is needed.

I recommend downloading and installing the FULL installer package available at http://support.hp.com. It sounds like either your drivers are corrupt or you have a incomplete installation of drivers and software required.

Copy on HP Laserjet 200 Color MFP

If you just want a single copy of the document, place the page face down on the scanner glass or face up in the document feeder. Then press Copy on the all-in-one (for the M276 this is on the touch screen). If you need to adjust the image quality/size or paper size, press Settings. Then press Image Adjust or scroll down and touch Paper. When done adjusting any setting, press OK. Then press Black or Color depending on your source page.

If you want to scan to a computer first, you'll need to make sure that the full software is installed on that computer. Then launch a scan from the computer before using the touch screen's scan button. You need to set up the default scan options before the scan button works. (There is a monitor program "hears" the button and it needs to know the scan defaults and destinations to launch the appropriate parts of the software.)

Note: many all-ones will not work if there is a problem with the print system.

I hope this helps.

Color image scan produces black and white pdf

This is purely down to the scanner settings. In the scan settings, choose the resolution and if to scan in monochrome (or B&W) or colour. SAVE the settings. Try a rescan and you should find that will work.

Scanner will not save large scan over 300 pages

Reduce the scan resolution or breakup the scan job to be saved into multiple documents.
It is likely that you are using 32bits OS or 32 bits office software.

A 64bits OS + 64bits Office 2010/2013 would be able save larger documents.
