Question about Mitsubishi WS-55807 TV

TV loses pictures shortly after turning on

The tv will lose picture after being turned on and the picture can sometimes be brought back by giving the top of the tv a hit but eventually goes off again shortly after. need help identifying the problem

It looks to me a loose solder, or loose contact joint somewhere in the video section or at the CRT board itself. Try also to resolder jungle ic pin, extra care must be observed in soldering this IC, see to it that no voltage is present before doing this,it may damage the ic.

What kind of tv programming do you have? Antenna, Cable, Dish? Most of the time if the picture is breaking up it will be the signal from the source, not the tv.

Have picture lose picture tv turns off and on


the lamp has a life cicle. if yours is been used a lot. then the lamp has to be changed. when the tv cannot turn on steady and gets off imm. the computer inside the tv tries to turn off the set but the lamp charges again and the micro tends to keep working. the first step to take in this tv is to change the lamp to eliminate this common source of problems

Fading and losing pictures


If your TV has more then 1500-2000 hours of usage chances are the power board is starting to fail due to the amount of heat that the parts are expose to when the TV is on. There seems to be a high failure rate on power supplies due to overheating.
The solution to get the TV working properly will be to have a new power board or repair the on inside your TV.

Picture problem


Since it is 9 years model definetely loose contact and flux corrosion is there in wire connector and pcb also. Make one general service. Prolem solved.

It sure sounds like you have a classic case of bad solder joints. Resolder all the connections on all boards.
