To can to computer : Take the document and lay it on the glass. line up the corners. On the top of the printer press scan from the menu and the printer should start scanning to computer.

Place your document facedown on your device scanner, then you can use a software provided by your driver of scanner and just click first a preview so that you can view your document or picture to be scan, then click scan. Wait until it finish then put it on a location where you want to save.
What computer do you have? On Mac I go to the System Prefs, Hardware, Printer & Fax. A panel will let you pick Scan to get started. Be sure to stretch the corners of the scanned area on the preview screen to include the whole document you want scanned. If you have a PC, there should be a scan function in the Office software, perhaps under Admin, or other general area. Gluck, Jim
