Change TV resolutions to view slide shows

Nope. The picture resolution has to be 1080 to fill the screen completely. Using stretch and zoom will distort the low rez pictures. No option to change resolution on the TV itself.

Vga hook up

may need to tell the laptop in the screen resolution settings to display the image on the tv instead of the laptop. Right click on the empty desktop of the laptop and go to either propertie or screen resolution and then make sure that the computer can see that the tv is hooked up and that the image is showing on the tv instead of the laptop. You may also need to change the mode on the tv to vga.

Problems some times hooking computer to TV

Before hooking up the laptop to the TV, lower your resolution on your laptop then shut it down. Just for testing purposes I would try 640X480 since you can always change it. Hook up the laptop to the TV and then turn on your laptop. See if it goes into windows with the display showing on the TV. If it does then reboot the laptop and try a few more times. If your consistently getting video then you can play around with the resolutions.
If your still having video issues, try a new video cable. Also update your video drivers to the latest version on your laptop. If the problem still persists update your BIOS to the latest version.
Hopefully that will do it but if not then its an issue with the motheboard.

With windows7 screen is small@1024/768 is ok if you use 1440/768 how can i use 1024/768 and get full screen 20 ' wide screen

Hello.

If you have a Wide screen monitor it can only (look good) in a Wide screen resolution such as 1440x768.

1024X768 is the lower resolution, and it is for normal screen (square) monitors, not for wide screen monitors.

You cannot get a full screen at 1024X768 resolution with a Wide Screen Monitor.

Hope that Helps.

Hook up laptop to computer

Your computer may be running at a higher resolution than is supported by your TV. Lower your laptop's resolution to 800x600 and try again. If it works, you may be able to raise the resolution higher, perhaps 1024x768.

To change the laptop's resolution, go to the desktop and right click and select "Properties". Select the "settings" tab. You will see a box labeled "Screen Resolution", slide the slider to the left as far as possible. Then, plug in the laptop to the TV and select the appropriate input from the TV.

Hope this helps.
