Cannot connect to my wireless network

Hi, It's been three months and I cannot connect to my wireless network. The change happened when I went to my mom's house and tried to get onto her wireless network. Whatever I did, it didn't work there. I came home and tried to get onto my wireless network and nothing. I tried repairing the device and it says it can't finish because it can't connect to the network, contact my network administrator. I know the wireless is working from going to the configure address. I now have to plug my laptop into my wirless device with an ethernet cable in LAN1.  I have a Philipps ADSL multiservice modem/wireless router. My wireless card is whatever came in a Sony VAIO 2 years ago. HDAUDIO Soft V92 with IntelPro network adapters. There is security on my network, but that was never a problem before. Right now the network is mixed (11b +11g) and its on channel 10. So when i got my xbox 360 i connected perfect on a wireless network with the wireless network adaptor. But then my 360 broke down so i sent it to the microsoft repair shop and today they sent it back. So i plugged it in and connected my wireless adaptor to it and when i did a connection test it vertified that my w/a was plugged in but it would pass the connection test? so i called microsoft and did everything they told me but it still wouldnt work for somereason?? can u help me with this problem?

My wireless computer worked just fine before we moved to another county. Now , my wireless cannot connect to the internet regardless of what I do.

My desktop works just fine. I thought a router would fix this problem.

    What do I do now?

I think you have more than one connection in your settings of the same name
follow this step

1right click on network icon( connection in network)
2.device manager all wireless connection then
4. delete all the connection
close the window
now it will show the new connection
click pop up and click connect
enter yor pass key

NOTE: it will ask only if your securty is enable

Is their a wifi switch on your laptop, if there is try changing its position to on if it is on off, then do a search for wireless networks, if this does not help unplug your router, and plug it back in, if none work then replace your router or check for drivers on your laptop as you may have accidentally deleted the wifi card driver, try driver robot and it will tell you all the uninstalled drivers, if anything is to do with wireless communications or intel wireless or anything similar search the make and model of your laptop and type 'wireless driver' (without the quotes) into google and do a bit of searching, install one and if that does not work, i cannot help any further.

WG111 v2 cuts in and out of connection. says scanning for network address. has been working for three months. i have tried everything i know to fix it. thanks chris

Check the wireless access point you are using for problems. If someone bought the same brand near you then they may be using the same channel which would cause the problem you are describing. In that case change the WAP to use a different channel.

Good Luck!

Cannot connect to my wireless network

you may have another wireless connection other than your own set as automatic, or more than one connection in your settings of the same name, so right click on your network icon in your task bar or in network connections in device manager and select view all wireless connections, click on it and when all the connections show, highlght, delete all of them, then close the window.

Your notebook should now indicate that it found new wireless connections, click on the popup and select your connection name and click connect, at this point you will be asked to enter the passkey if you have security enabled.
