Hi, According to the symptom the problem is relate to the CRT. One of three guns (Red,Blue,Green) causing problem. When it becomes short set goes on standby and when the carbon removes after some times of rest it becomes on, So you need to find which color is missing except red because it is present as you said in your question, now check which color is missing Blue or Green in picture. The one which misses, is faulty gun and needs replacement. Please let me know for further help by reply in comments column. Thanks
This is blue CRT problem in tv as it is rear projection tv that has three CRTs red-green-blue inside to project color picture on front screen. Blue CRT (tube) will be replaced to fix the issue and it is job of Pro because lots of adjustments are required after replacement of tube. Local tv repair shop will help you for that. Thanks
I've come into this problem before, it sounds like the lamp is dieing .. It could also be that a wire connected to the lamp is attached to the wrong post or isn't connected at all.
Depends on how long you've had that lamp installed and use time. If you've been using it for quite some time, 2.5/4 years and never replaced the lamp then it's most likely the lamp that needs to be changed, otherwise if you've had the lamp changed recently, i'd be leaning towards, a wire in the wrong place or not attached at all. Best of luck :)
