I had the same problem with a jvc stereo set, it turned out the two cables of a speaker were touching each other.

SOURCE: my jvc hx-d7 radio is turned on in 2 seconds it

You can't. The main amplifier module will probably have a channel blown. The unit is detecting this and tripping into protect mode to stop further damage occurring. Needs to go to a repair place. sorry. ps If you get sound briefly before it trips off then it may just be a speaker wire shorting out! worth checking

SOURCE: I turn on my JVC HX-D7 and will stay on

It sounds like you have a short. Check that your speaker wires are not crossed at any point. If no look into the connections and see if some wire has broken off into one and caused a short.

SOURCE: When I turn mine on it will power up then go into

unhook all the wires and turn off the stereo (unplug the chord) plug it in again and turn it on not hooking the speaker wires yet. check if the stereo will come on if it does then unhook the plug again and hook the speaker wires before plugging it into the outlet then you are set to go.

Jvc hx-d7 sound If I turn the volume knob down to fast the volume turns up. Any ideas?

The contacts in the volume control encoder are dirty. If you know what you're doing, it can be taking apart and cleaned, otherwise replace the volume control.

I turn on my JVC HX-D7 and will stay on momentarily. Then it goes into 'Protect' mode and will shut off.

"PROTECT" message

I've got a jvc hx-d7 i am working on for a friend, he had it repaired once at a shop with this same problem, they replaced two 42v 2200mf caps. and one A1273 this solved the problem for 8months now its doing it again. I am trying to locate the A1273 to repair it again. Hope this helps.

That could meen that something is improperly connected. You should try to disconnect everything, and then reconnect it step by step.

JVC HX-D7

I had a similar problem, and took it to an authorized repair shop(under warranty), the kept it six months, and JVC finally admitted there are solder connections with that model, and six months later, we got a new unit. I will buy Sony next time
