There should be a sensor that measure's the water, some work with a float and get's stuck,if so you can just push it down again,if it does not have a float the most possible cause is that its broken and need replacement.

If you don't know much of a a/c unit better get a repair man to have a look for you.

Regards.

Wouter.

LIght on box inside flashes 4 times on a new propane fill up

If the gas was empty for three days, the furnace may have attempted to start numerous times causing virtually ALL residual gas in the incoming line to be drawn out. You may consider purging the gas line at the clean out cap where the gas line enters the furnace. However, it should have restarted and stayed running after just a few times at the most because as long as the line was NOT disconnected from the main tank, there should be NO air inside the line to cause flame failure.

I'd suggest asking the service company to double check the furnace manifold pressure to ensure there is not a regulator related problem.

Three times this winter (on the coldest days no less) a tiny droplet of water froze internally of the regulator right on the orifice blocking gas flow.

There was no hot water so repressurised as the pressure wass low the red light remained on but occassionally when turn hot tap on the green light comes on there is hot water then it shuts down and red...

These sure were not out for long. The bright red button is a pressure release valve which could be faulty hence allowing water to bypass out of the system and not having hot water. Try strapping a bag around the pipe that goes outside and see if it fills with water. To top up your system look on the pipes just below the boiler. There should be a cold filling loop or a connection for one. If not get one from a plumber and ask them how to fill system up, its straight forward enough and your problem should be fixed with this info

When I turn on my unit the cooling light flashes but nothing happens

Your unit may have a wall control which can set the Evap cooler to a pre fill mode time which fills the base with water then there is a pre wet mode which starts the pump to wet the pads. After both these functions have completed the fan will start. This could take up to 4 minutes before the fan starts and can be programmed out if not required.

Red light coming on ; tank is filling up. I drain

Fortunately, from what you have described, the unit is working as it should. But, the frequency that it's occurring is what I think you're concerned about.

If you are operating the Dehumidifier Mode along with the Cooling Mode, this will generate more water in the tank and require more frequent draining. Running the Dehumidifier and the AC (Cool) at the same time is not recommended. It reduces the cooling capacity of the AC Mode and generates heat in the room. And, as you already know, more water.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Do I need to replace the thermocoupling on my Reliance 501 gas water heater? Model is 5 30 NOMT7 C. Recently, I've noticed an intermittent problem with the the hot water not staying consistent. So we're...

The thermocouple is a safety for the gas valve. It tells it the pilot light is lit. If your pilot light is not going out and the burner fires when you turn up the thermostat, it is all working as it should. In other words, if you don't need to re-light the pilot, your thermocouple is OK. Turning up the temperature of the water is a good idea, just be careful not to burn anyone with the hotter water. You mite want to try a water saver shower head. Some don't throw enough water to get the soap off, but I bought one that can be turned to adjust flow and we have been happy with it. If I missed what you need from this, please let me know. Roger
