Check your power cord is plugged in both in back of the machine and the wall. They can easily get kicked loose be feet vacuums etc. On the back where the plug goes in there should be a switch flip it and try it. This is the main off on switch. Hard to bump off but it happens.

Past those then you are either looking at a power supply replacement if you see no lights etc or it could be a bad memory piece (or even loose if bumped hard enough). You can replace the power supply for under $40 and the ram can be $20. If you have to get someone to do it then labor on top. Both can easily be done at home. These are the only common hardware causes that act up like this. If it just died then it probably is the power supply. If it was acting up before it would be the ram and very slight chance of a motherboard and slighter chance of cpu.

If it is plugged in to a working outlet, you probably need a new power supply.

Power door lock switch?

Sounds like the drivers door lock switch is bad an as far as the auto start remote the contacts under the button get dirty and won't make contact, open the remote like changing the battery and you can probably get at the contact button, if it's a little carbon button they can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and then paper tower with a bit of rubbing alcohol, if it's an actual switch you can try spraying some contact cleaner into the switch. let it dry before you put the battery back in.

Wireless capability won't turn on

Make sure you Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the F2 key.

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

Some laptops might have a wireless button instead of a wireless switch located above the keyboard or on the front or sides.

Won't find wireless connection

Did you turn the wireless switch on? Normally there is a switch either on the sides or the front of the laptop that you have to turn on. Sometimes it is a button at the top of the keyboard.

Pressure washer won't start. It has gas, oil and I turned the switch to turtle and to rabbit position. Does it matter if water is on first or not? It won't start either way.

Turn the water on, hold trigger down and let water run thru the hose to prime the air out of the hose. If it still will not start check the spark plug and clean it or replace it. A bad spark plug will keep it from starting

My 1994 toyota Corolla will not switch out of park to reverse or drive and the brake lights won't come on no matter how hard I press on the brakes. I have changed the brake light switch and even...

There is a small plasic acess cover (1/2" x1/2") on the base of the shifter. Pry it open and press the button. You should immediately be able to shift. The button is needed because the sensor on your brake pedal is broken (won't activate your brake lights either). Use the button on your shifter to get your car home or to the mechanic so you can get the brake switch fixed. Remember whern you drive you have no brake lights. -Mark

Screen frozen, can't turn off

Hold the power button down on the actual tower of your computer. After about 10-15 seconds the computer will turn off and you can restart it. If that fails, as a last resort pull the power cable out of the tower. It isn't as damaging to the computer as most people think but should only be used if the computer won't turn off any other way.
