Question about Televison & Video

Resetting the TV
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.
hope this may help;

Can you determine where the noise is coming from?
In the back of the plasma when it is laying down and you are sitting at the bottom of it there are 2 boards all the way on the left, one goes from the top half-way down and the other goes from half-way down to the bottom, these are the scan drivers and are hooked to the panel through ribbon cables. the board that they plug into is the Y-sus. On the right side of the tv you have the X-sus board and it should be attached to the panel through some ribbon cables. The first test you need to do is unplug both of the scan drivers from the y-sus one at a time.BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE RIBBON CABLES GOING TO THE PANEL. Unhook one and then turn the tv on and see if the noise goes away. if it does then that board is bad. if the noise is still there then unplug the other one. if the noise goes away then that board it bad, if the noise is still there then hook them both back up. Next find the big wire that goes from the y-sus to the power supply and unplug it, try to turn the tv on and see if the noise is still there. If the noise is still there plug that wire back in and unplug the big wire going to the x-sus, if the noise goes away now that board should be bad. If you do all this and the noise is still there, let me know and I will take you further.
