Question about Car Audio & Video
My kids have put a CD into the cassette which had a label on it and it is now stuck in the machine. Any suggestions about how to remove it will be gratefully received. Thanks, Fiona
hi for starters look carefuly if you are putting the CD's in the right side inside the magazine and the magazine itself in its right position take a air spry can and clean the laser eye of the changer while ur at it clean the whole changer from dust and dirt good luck windman

This would invalidate the warranty and you may break it but I have just had to do one:
1. Remove 4 black screws
2. Unclick the front panel - yes it is clicked on but may appear to be screwed
3. Take off black lid
4. Pop the cradled player from the 4 dampers and unhook from the 2 springs
5. Remove the ribbon connector - do this by slipping/clicking the brown holder very slightly and then the ribbon comes out easily
6. Now using a suitable tool push the stuck CD back into the magazine
7. Click the magazine out - there is a white piece of plastic what when moved does the eject.
8. Do the above in reverse.
The trick to get the grey horizontal/vertical discs back on is to set them passed horizontal one notch on and click them on at the end - turning one notch anti-clockwise to lock them.

SOURCE: I have a sony cdx-715
Based on the information provided, it seems that the CD Changer is not getting power from the battery. Make sure that the power cable is firm and secure. I suggest that you remove and reconnect the Sony Control BUS cable from the units. You can also check if the CD Changer can be selected in the main head unit by continuously pressing the SOURCE button. Press the RESET button located below the faceplate and check if it helps.
The power output from the CD Changer can be checked with the help of a professional installer. It is always recommended to check the units with the help of a service technician.
Thanks for using FixYa.
