IJ650 Printer will not work

Its not detecting the new cartriges for some reason.. Silly Question?? Did you pull off the blue tape tab off the new cartrige before installing them?? Oh ok If you did then you might wanna very carefully with the unit unpluged is to clean the copper colored contacts on the printer itself with a small amount of alcohol and let dry completely before you use it and see if that helps and if it dosent Im sorry to say its not worth taking in to be servived as a compadable puter printer can be bought here for under 50 bucks.. Just because the ink jets are new doesn't mean they are full from the factor or from the remanufacturer. This is often the case we get the generic and get burned because we think we get a better deal when in reality we only get burned.
