The yellow light means that it's not connected with a compatible driver to the computer or it is not connecting to your network for some reason.

Green, means everything is, ok.

I've encountered this before on some off brand network adapters, and tried other ones, and that was the only way I could make it work...
in an unknown system.

However, since you say that yours worked before... that tells me that you think it should work, again. But, something could have changed in your network.

Are there any other components on your network, like a switch that could have gone bad, or bad wiring?

This message is shown once the computer is booted; more than likely these Network Adapters are not being utilize, because the network connection is using "Wireless"service; the "Ethernet Controller is part of the (Wired-LAN) Family." The Drivers maybe (Disabled), or the ("drivers") need to be "Updated. "Do the following; go to Control Panel, open Device Manager, click to open "Network Adapters", check to see if adapter are in ("error, disabled, or working properly etc"). "Update Drivers", and restart the computer." "I hope this help FiX it!"

It does not connect

Wireless Adapter is a device that will receive the wireless signals and will make your computer wireless adapter. without the wireless adapter you can not use the computer to connect to the wireless network. Now a days all the laptops and desktops are equipped with the built in wireless adapters.
First check whether you have a wireless adapter on your computer ?

WIN XP
Right click on MY COMPUTER ==> properties ==> Device Manager ==>
you will see Network adapter ==> under network adapter you will see the wireless adapter ==> Right clink on the wireless adapter ==> properties => Check whether it says the Device is working properly or not ?If it says working properly then that's great !

WIN VISTA/ Windows 7
Click START ==> Control Panel ==> In the right hand side at the top you will see " Classic View "
Switch to classic view ==> you will see Device Manager ==> Under Network Adapters you will find your wireless adapter listed . Right clink on the wireless adapter ==> properties => Check whether it says the Device is working properly or not ? If it says working properly then that's great !

If you do not see wireless adapter in the Device manager , then either you do not have the adapter or the wireless adapter is not working .If you see "yellow exclamation mark" on the wireless adapter, that means the drivers are not installed for the adapter or not working. Reinstall the drivers.
Once your adapter is working properly , try to connect to the wireless network.

If you are installing the external wireless adapter to the computer and if you are using Windows 2000 or Windows 98 , ME, then you will have to connect to the wireless network using the utility of that adapter.
If you are using Win XP then you can use windows to connect to the wireless network or you can use other utility.
In case of Win VISTA, you will use windows to connect to the wireless network.

There is no way to do this as of right now. The only way this will happen is if Microsoft releases a driver download for this device to work with a PC.

Wpa Encryption

Im assuming that your main computer is a wired computer or connected to the network via an ethernet cable, there is no way to check it because the WPA Encryption is for the wireless only. If you enable WPA encryption on your wireless network, all of the wireless computer should connect first and used the WPA key you set on your network. Once the profile of your network is saved on your computers, they will just automatically connect everytime they are detecting your network.

Connected to acess point but internet

The first thing you should try is connecting one machine via a cable to the router, to see if the connection is stable. This will prove the router is working, or not, as the case may be. Assuming the router still fails to function properly, you can then replace it.

However this assumes that the modem and internet connection are working properly. If either is causing the problems, then the router might be just fine.

But if the router does appear to work fine when wired in, then it at least proves everything outside the router is fine. And while it is possible, it is rather unlikely that just the wireless part of the router failed without killing the switch/router part.

So try this, and once we have the result, we can take the next step

Network adapter is working but still not getting good connection

Make sure the light on your cable modem that represents your connection to the computer (it might be marked LAN, Ethernet, or PC) is lit up and isn't flashing. The light will tell you if your network card is properly connected to the cable modem.

If the light isn't on, make sure you've connected the wire to the right port on the cable modem, and try restarting the cable modem by unplugging it, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

If it still doesn't work after that, contact your Internet provider. Their technical support department can help you get it set up.
